The festival is created by the people who really love film production. These are the people who want to share their knowledge and experience with other professionals of film branch. MASTERSHOT FILM FESTIVAL means also fantastic guests - filmmakers who have spent plenty of time seeking for the best image and realizing great footage. These are the artists deeply engaged in filmmaking, creators and seekers of exceptional images, who are keen on sharing their passion and knowledge with the festival participants.

Jarek Żarski
ceo, founder
The creator of all this mess. He has invented and set up the first international MASTERSHOT FILM Festival for movies realized by only one shot. He supervises organization of the MASTERSHOT FILM FESTIVAL. He is very passionate about filming technique. He majored in journalism. He is co-owner of the advertising agency Fresh Studio in Poznan on daily basis. He is a video equipment and production specialist. From over 10 years he is engaged in filming and photography technique. CEO in WINMAR company.
Renata Żybura
project manager
Planning and organizing of activities. Conducting and execution individual sub-projects within the Festival. Planning and coordination of events and communication with partners and sponsors. Quick-witted, energetic and sociable. Open mind, broad horizons and an enormous curiosity about the world are her strengths. She thinks and analyzes quickly, acts effectively and reaches her goals. Rational and well-organized. She has a dozen years of experience in planning and implementing marketing projects. She can’t imagine her life without practicing flamenco and contemporary dance on a regular basis. She loves French psychological dramas and David Lynch films.
Paweł Czarkowski
art director
Literary reviewer, scenarist, operator and film director. Creator of documentary films, shorts, video clips and first Polish interactive film www.zamek-film.com that was awarded at Filmteractive 2014 and Cross Video Days 2015. Owner of the film studio Movlab, which is occupied with film production and new visual techniques of storytelling. He is responsible for the professional part of workshops and artistic level of films submitted for the contest.
Tomasz Żarski
design director
Artistic soul with over 15-year experience in advertising and media. Co-founder of the advertising agency Fresh Studio where he acted as a Chief of Creation Department. Film director, designer, musician and composer. He graduated from The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. Presently owner of a production company Red Ghost which is engaged in digital media. He is responsible for the art level and the image of the MASTERSHOT FILM Festival and media relations.
Patryk Piłasiewicz
music
Double bass player, conductor, composer, assistant professor at the Department of Jazz at the Academy of Music of Poznań. Habilitated doctor (conducting). Since 2001, he has been leading the Big Band of the Academy of Music of Poznań and carries out his own artistic initiatives on the border of musical and visual arts. He participates in scientific and artistic conferences, presenting lectures on the relationship between music and other fields of creativity (architecture, photography, film). He works in the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra (soloist - double bass). Founder and president of the Association of Krzysztof Komeda's Creativity Lovers "Astigmatic". He won the 1st place in the International Composition Competition named after Krzysztof Komeda (1997) and a number of awards and distinctions at competitions and big band festivals (Nowy Tomyśl, Bydgoszcz). Since 2012, he has been implementing a project commemorating the participation of Poles in breaking Enigma codes. During the project, the archive of the Poznań mathematician and musician, Henryk Zygalski, was found and digitized. Artist - resident of CK Zamek (2018), resident of the Enigma Cipher Center (2021).
Philip Bloom

Philip Bloom is a world-renowned filmmaker who, for the past 9 years of his 26-year career has specialized in creating incredible cinematic images no matter what the camera. Some of his most iconic work was created with Canon DSLRs. As one of the biggest evangelists for their use in productions his website became the place to go to for budding filmmakers as well as experienced ones keen to embrace the new technology. His site now regularly has over 1,000,000 visitors a month.
He is constantly stretching his creative abilities and experimenting with new technology. His large social medial following on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Storehouse, like his enormously popular website are frequently used to help and educate filmmakers of all skill levels.
Piotr Majdrowicz

Animator of film culture, author and producer of several education programs e.g.: 18 edition of International Workshops and Film Contest “Jedno Ujęcie” [“One footage”] in Łeba; 5 editions of long term film education projects “321-Start” in schools in western Poland; creator and producer of several first editions OFF CINEMA Festival in Poznań, producer of 7th edition “Kino Ciśnień” [“Pressure cinema”] in Leszno and producer of 15th edition “1 Minute” in Greater Poland. Author of several short films which were awarded at the festivals of independent films both in Poland and abroad.
During his work in TVP he has gained an over dozen year professional experience as camera operator. He has devoted over dozen years of work to explore Masterhot theme.
Staszek Mąderek
film producer, director
Film producer, director, screenwriter, camera operator, VFX supervisor. He graduated from The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. Film music composing and acting are in the centre of his interests and passions. Author of feature films, TV-series, commercials, music videos, and independent short comedies, e.g. “Stars in Black” which became a hit of the 2000 year on Internet. He is a director of cut-scenes and motion-capture sessions. He also creates gameplay in numerous computer games. He is successful in experiments creating completely new special effects, i.e. photogrammetry and 360/180 films for the virtual reality. Presently he is completing his works on his own full-length feature film “Stars in Black”. It is a sci-fi comedy full with action, SFX and erotics.
Kamil Przybylak
cameraman and film director
Cameraman and film director with experience gained both in the studio and in extreme film sets. He specializes in using moVi and DJI Ronin stabilizers. He makes footages and he teaches people during film workshops how to use them on the film plan. He operates drones both as pilot and camera operator. He worked for BBC Scotland and made a footage for the greatest documentary film made by BBC within recent years in locations in USA and Dubai. In Hong Kong he made a footage for CNN, used in the TV spot of the journalist Kristie Lu Stout. In Canada he made timelapse film and drone footage for the promotional film of Canada, for the Destination Canada, organization of the Ministry of Tourism of Canada. In 2015 he realized a huge project “Dream Walker Zakyntos” and created the biggest film in the history of line jumping, which gained an audience surpassing one million views all over the world.
Maciej Tomków
cinematographer
He has been a freelance cinematographer since 2010 and loves shooting action sports and lifestyle. In his career, he managed to connect rollerblading with professional steadicam work and he is one of the few people in the world who makes steadicam shots on rollerblades. He has also focused on timelapse cinematography. After a short period of time he made his first timelapse short film about his hometown, Wroclaw, in Poland. He gained further expertise while working with LookyCreative, currently Kizny Visuals, as a timelapse operator. In 2013 he produced, directed and edited a short film „Warsaw Halla”. He unveiled it in an official premiere at a Wroclaw cinema to acclaim from both cinematographers and viewers. He graduated direction of photography at MultiArt Academy in Kraków. He has successfully completed Tiffen International Steadicam Workshop held at the SAE Institute Oxford.
